Point Katman at your vibe-coded site. It reads your code and your live pages the way ChatGPT's crawler does, then tells your AI coding tool exactly what to fix and which pages to write, so assistants can read, quote and recommend you. No SEO background needed. It is not an SEO agency or a rank tracker, and it doesn't buy links or post on Reddit for you. ### How much does Katman cost? Katman Pro is a monthly subscription in two sizes: $49 a month for 1 site (fix prompts and page briefs with no cap, 5 full audits a month), or $88 a month for 3 sites (fix prompts and page briefs with no cap, 30 full audits a month), counted per calendar month (UTC). Both include every tool, the full course and the private community. The book and the 30-day workbook (the PDF course) are sold separately: $14 each or $20 together until 31 October 2026 (launch price), then $119 and $199. The AI crawler checker and the public guides are free. Visibility runs use your own OpenRouter key and cost about $2.4 for the default panel (range $1.2–3.7), paid by you to OpenRouter; Katman won’t start a run above your cap, $3 unless you raise it. ### Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend my site? No. Nobody can guarantee a place in an AI answer: answers change between sessions and accounts, so we show you what the assistants actually said instead of making a promise. ### How long until ChatGPT sends me visitors? There’s no fixed time. Our sample site got its first ChatGPT visitor about 1.5 days after launch and 333 in its first week (own measurement, 21–27 September 2026), but it was built for this from day one, so treat it as one example, not a forecast. ### Does llms.txt matter? Much less than people say. Google Search ignores it, and a June 2026 Ahrefs study found 97% of llms.txt files got no requests; write a short one that matches your pages, then spend your time on bot access, text in the HTML and situation pages. ### Does Katman change my code without asking? No. Katman writes only to the .katman/ folder in your project; two tools can create files elsewhere, only when called with write: true, and they never overwrite a file unless you also pass overwrite: true. Code changes are made by your AI coding tool, under its own approval settings. ### Which editors does Katman work with? Any MCP client that can run a local server, including Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code with Copilot, Windsurf (now Devin Desktop), Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Zed and Cline. If you build in Lovable, Bolt, v0 or Replit, sync the project to GitHub and open it in one of those. ### What data leaves my machine? Only what the tool you call needs: requests to your own site for audits, calls to OpenRouter with your key for visibility runs, IndexNow submissions when you ask for them, and Google autocomplete lookups for keyword research. Without KATMAN\_KEY nothing goes to katman.pro; with it, Katman checks your plan at most once a day (the key and the MCP version), reports the domain of each audit so Katman Pro can count audits and sites per month, and katman\_sync sends aggregate numbers only when you call it. Code, file contents and AI answers never leave your machine, and no other usage data is collected. ### Why do you test logged out? Because signed-in chats remember you. On 4 September 2026, a signed-in ChatGPT account placed one of our own sites second, while a temporary, logged-out chat didn’t name it at all (own measurement). ### Do I need an OpenRouter key? Only for automated visibility runs. Every other tool works without one, and manual checks in the consumer apps add no API cost. ### Does Katman scrape ChatGPT or Claude? No. The consumer apps’ terms forbid automated extraction, so Katman asks the providers’ own models through OpenRouter and records app answers only when you paste them in yourself. ### What happens if I cancel Katman Pro? Katman Pro keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Then the tools stop and explain how to subscribe again. Nothing else is charged, and everything Katman wrote to your project’s .katman folder stays on your machine. ### Is GEO different from SEO? Mostly it’s the same work with a different reader and prize.
