# The Katman book and the 30-day GEO workbook

> Two PDFs for people who build sites with Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, v0 or Claude Code. The Katman book ($14) shows how to get such a site found by Google and recommended by ChatGPT: research first, then build with 15 prompts that each have an acceptance criterion, then verify. The 30-day GEO workbook ($14) turns the method into sheets you fill in. Both together cost $20; every purchase includes the English and Turkish editions, with lifetime access.

## What you get

| PDF | What’s inside | Price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| The Katman book | The whole method in 19 chapters and 6 appendices: 15 prompts (P0–P14), each with an acceptance criterion, 21 real mistakes, and a 30-day plan. English edition (41 pages) and Turkish edition (44 pages) | $14 |
| The 30-day GEO workbook | 16 pages of sheets to fill in: the 30-day plan with a task, a checkbox and a Katman tool for each day, the research.md template, the question set, the measurement table, the page brief and a 22-line pre-publish check. English and Turkish | $14 |
| Both | The book and the workbook | $20 |

Every purchase is one payment, with both languages and lifetime access under Downloads in your account. You don’t need an account before you buy: checkout asks for your email address, and we create the account and send you a sign-in link. Prices are the full price; no VAT is added.

Before you pay, you ask for the download to start right away and acknowledge that you give up the 14-day cancellation right, so there are no refunds except where the law requires one. The PDFs are licensed for your own use: please don’t share or resell them. The details are in the [terms](https://katman.pro/terms).

## What we found

The book opens with four numbers, each with its source inside:

| Number | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| 7 · 12 · 1 | We checked a viral 20-point SEO list against Google’s own documentation: 7 points correct, 12 partly correct, 1 a myth (the “one H1 per page” rule) |
| 21 | Real mistakes we made on two of our own sites, and how we fixed them |
| 19 of 20 | Points from that list already in place on katman.pro; we fixed 4 on the day of writing, and backlinks are still weak |
| 333 | Real visitors from ChatGPT in the first 7 days of a site we launched from zero (own measurement, 21–27 September 2026) |

## What’s in the book

1. How to use this book: research first, then build, then verify
2. Proof: the first 7 days of a new site
3. The viral 20-point list, tested against Google’s documents
4. How the 20 points were done on the sample site
5. Six traps the list misses
6. Cloudflare and AI bots
7. Step 1: research before you prompt
8. Step 2: the page plan and site architecture
9. Anatomy of a situation page
10. Welcoming the visitor ChatGPT sends you
11. GEO: the 10 jobs we did
12. Step 3: the prompt book, P0 to P14, each with an acceptance criterion
13. Step 4: after publishing, who to tell and how
14. Mentions instead of backlinks
15. Measurement: how not to celebrate bots
16. Check it yourself: nine commands
17. The honest table: what worked, what didn’t
18. The 21 mistakes
19. Roadmap: your first 30 days

Appendices: a robots.txt template, an llms.txt skeleton, Organization JSON-LD with a not-X line, the content rules, the full site-audit checklist and a glossary, followed by a data note and the list of sources.

## What’s in the workbook

- **The 30-day plan:** one task a day, each with an acceptance criterion and the Katman tool that does it or checks it.
- **research.md:** your brand, your one sentence in four parts, 10–12 customer situations, competitors, proof and keywords.
- **The question set:** 12 unbranded questions and 2 diagnostic ones, with how to ask them.
- **The measurement table:** named, recommended first and cited, per question and assistant, with a second run 14 days later.
- **Six traps and the door:** one-minute tests and a bot-by-bot status table.
- **Nine commands** for day 1 and day 30, a **page brief** for each situation page, and the **pre-publish check** with the tool that proves each line.
- **After publishing, outside your site and the day-29 review:** indexing, outreach, directories, videos, communities, and what worked, what didn’t and what you don’t know yet.

## Who it’s for

People who build sites with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit) and want Google to find them and assistants to recommend them. It assumes you can paste a prompt and run a command in a terminal, and no more. Every prompt ends with an acceptance criterion you can check, because an AI coding tool told to “optimize SEO” adds a meta tag and stops.

## The 30-day plan, as a preview

| Week | What to do | What you have at the end |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | Fill in the research file, run the first measurement with a fixed question set, test the six traps, and run P0 and P1 (an audit that changes no code) | A research file, a first measurement, a list of problems |
| 2 | P2–P5 and P9–P12: text in HTML, head tags, robots.txt and sitemap, schema, images, links, 404s and preview URLs, speed. Set up Search Console, Bing, IndexNow and Brave; check your CDN’s bot settings | A technically clean site that search engines know about |
| 3 | P6 for 3–5 situation pages, P7 for a comparison guide, P8 for llms.txt; make the landing pages useful in the first minute | Your first situation pages, live |
| 4 | P13 for measurement; off-site work: one video, directory texts, an outreach list. On day 14, ask the question set again and check why any pages aren’t indexed. Wire P14 into every deploy | A second measurement and a plan for the next 60 days |

The reasoning behind each step is on [the method page](https://katman.pro/method).

## Where the numbers come from

- **Google and Bing:** their own documentation, read on 29 September 2026 and summarised in our words.
- **katman.pro:** a live crawl of the 42 URLs in its sitemap and mobile Lighthouse runs, 29 September 2026.
- **The sample site:** an AI-powered consumer web app we launched on 21 September 2026, our own product (the company that runs katman.pro), not a client. We don’t name it or its category. Its figures come from its own analytics, human sessions only (528 of 1,546); the full numbers are in the [case study](https://katman.pro/case-studies/sample-site-first-7-days).
- **Desk research:** third-party findings collected on 24 September 2026, not verified by us, and labelled strong, medium or weak.

## The PDFs and Katman

The book tells your AI coding tool what to do. [Katman](https://katman.pro/mcp) is the MCP server that turns the same method into tools. Audit Week ($3 for 7 days) runs the audit and recommendation tools on your site: it finds what’s wrong and tells you what to do. [Katman Pro](https://katman.pro/pricing) adds the tools that write pages and files, [the course](https://katman.pro/learn) and the community. The PDFs are separate: you can follow them without Katman, and Katman without them.

## Who this is not for

- Anyone who wants someone else to do the work: the PDFs are for people who make the changes themselves or with their AI coding tool.
- Large sites with an in-house SEO team: the book is written for small sites built with AI tools.
- Readers looking for link buying or ranking tricks: the book argues against both.

## Frequently asked questions

### What exactly do I get?

PDF files under Downloads in your account, with lifetime access. The book comes as an English edition (41 pages) and a Turkish edition (44 pages); the workbook has 16 pages in each language. Every purchase includes both languages.

### Do I need an account to buy?

No. Checkout asks for your email address; we create your account from it and email you a sign-in link. Your files are under Downloads.

### Are the PDFs part of Katman Pro?

No. Katman Pro covers the MCP tools, the course and the community. The PDFs are sold separately, you pay once, and you keep them.

### Can I get a refund?

No, except where the law requires one. Before you pay, you ask for the download to start right away and acknowledge that you give up the 14-day cancellation right. Your rights for faulty digital content still apply.

### Do I need to know how to code?

No, but you need an AI coding tool and a terminal. The book gives you prompts to paste and commands to run, each with the result you should expect.

### Where do the numbers come from?

From Google’s and Bing’s documentation (read 29 September 2026), a live audit of katman.pro, and the analytics of an app we launched on 21 September 2026, counting human sessions only. Third-party figures are labelled strong, medium or weak.

### Does the book promise results?

No. It shows what happened on our own sites, including what didn’t work, and says plainly that nobody can guarantee a place in an AI answer.
