Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: what does it do, what does it cost, and what else is there?
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month per domain and includes 25 tracked prompts, brand performance for one domain, prompt research and an AI search site audit; 50 more prompts cost $60 a month and Semrush says there’s no trial. It fits teams already in Semrush. Alternatives read on 15 October 2026 range from HubSpot AEO at $50 to Ahrefs Brand Radar and SE Ranking’s AI add-on.
What the toolkit does
Semrush’s help center describes six parts (Semrush help, “AI Visibility Toolkit”, read 15 Oct 2026):
- Visibility Overview: an AI Visibility Score for a brand, worldwide or by region.
- Competitor Research: prompts where competitors are cited and you aren’t.
- Prompt Research: keyword research for AI prompts, with volume, difficulty and intent.
- Brand Performance: share of voice, sentiment and AI-generated recommendations, for one domain on the base plan.
- Prompt Tracking: 25 prompts tracked daily.
- AI Search Site Audit: checks for technical issues that could block AI crawlers, up to 100 pages.
If you already use Semrush for keywords and audits, having AI data in the same place is the main reason to buy it.

Who should keep Semrush
Stay if your team already lives in Semrush, you need keyword, backlink and AI data in one report, and 25 to 100 prompts cover your questions. Look elsewhere if you need Claude in your tracking (neither Semrush page above lists it), want a lower entry price, or if the tracker keeps showing you absent and you need to know why. What Katman does instead, and its limits

Its keyword tool expands Google autocomplete rather than reporting search volumes, it has no backlink data, team seats or hosted dashboard, and it doesn’t edit your site by itself. API answers are a proxy for what the apps show, and nobody can promise an assistant will recommend you.
